The Colonie PBA Constitution
- To promote and further the interests, welfare and morale of the members
of the Police Department of the Town of Colonie, New York.
- To develop and promote a friendly and fraternal spirit among members
of the Police Department of the Town of Colonie, New York.
- To render all moral and, at its discretion, material aid to its members.
To give, at it discretion, financial assistance in accordance with the
law. In cases of the death of a member and at its discretion, to establish
and maintain a benefit fund for the purpose of paying disability, retirement
and/or death benefits to qualified members or their beneficiaries.
- To promote and protect the mutual interest and general welfare of
its membership and to improve the administration of the trade and to
encourage a higher standard of skill. To endeavor to improve working
conditions and secure adequate wages and appropriate fringe benefits
through collective bargaining and to elevate by proper means the moral,
intellectual and social conditions of it members.
